Security Forces Foil Attack on FC Headquarters in Mohmand District
Mohmand District, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa — Security forces successfully thwarted an attack on the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Mohmand district, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), announced on Saturday.
The ISPR reported that the assault was launched by four suicide bombers affiliated with the extremist group Fitna al-Khawarij. However, the security personnel effectively neutralized the threat before any damage could be inflicted.
“The attempt to breach the camp was successfully repelled by the security forces, resulting in the elimination of all four suicide bombers, who were sent to their fate before they could execute their plan,” said the ISPR statement.
A sanitization operation is underway in the area to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorist elements.
“Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute, with unwavering determination, in their mission to eradicate terrorism from the country,” the ISPR added.
In a separate incident, five terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire with security forces at the Surkhab refugee camp in Pishin district.
