Pakistan’s Tallest Man, Naseer Soomro, Passes Away at 55
SHIKARPUR: Naseer Soomro, one of the tallest men in the world, passed away on Monday in Sindh’s Shikarpur district at the age of 55, his brother Riaz confirmed.
According to Riaz, Naseer had been battling a lung disease for several months and was receiving treatment at home. His funeral prayers will be offered today (Tuesday) in Shah Muhala, Shikarpur.
Standing at an extraordinary height of seven feet and nine inches, Naseer was recognized as one of the world’s tallest individuals. His towering stature even earned him a position with the national airline. His presence brought international attention to Pakistan, making him a well-known figure both at home and abroad.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over Naseer’s passing, offering prayers for his soul and strength for the bereaved family. “In this moment of grief, the entire nation stands in solidarity with Naseer Soomro’s family,” he stated.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Governor Kamran Tessori, and several political leaders also conveyed their condolences, mourning the loss of a unique and celebrated individual.
