Pakistan Army Captain Martyred, 10 Militants Killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IBO

A Pakistan Army captain embraced martyrdom, while ten militants were eliminated during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The operation was conducted on the reported presence of militants in the area. Security forces engaged them effectively, resulting in the killing of all ten militants, the ISPR reported.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, 24-year-old Captain Hasnain Akhtar from Jhelum embraced martyrdom while leading his troops from the front. The ISPR hailed him as a courageous and bold officer, known for his fearless leadership in previous operations.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the neutralized militants, who were reportedly involved in numerous terrorist activities against law enforcement agencies and the targeted killing of civilians.

A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area, reinforcing the Pakistan Army’s commitment to eradicating terrorism. The military emphasized that the sacrifices of young officers like Captain Hasnain further strengthen the nation’s resolve in this fight.
