PIA Dubai-Bound Flight Escapes Disaster After Bird Strike
LAHORE: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight bound for Dubai narrowly avoided disaster after a bird collided with the aircraft shortly after takeoff from Lahore, ARY News reported.
The incident occurred minutes into flight PK-203, forcing the pilot to request an emergency landing. Air traffic control swiftly granted permission, and the aircraft, carrying 150 passengers, landed safely without further complications.
In response to the incident, a team of PIA engineers from Karachi will travel to Lahore on flight PK-304 to conduct a detailed boroscope inspection of the engine to assess the extent of the damage caused by the bird strike.
Mid-Flight Washroom Leak Leaves PIA Passengers in Distress
In a separate incident, passengers on a PIA Boeing 777 flight from Istanbul to Islamabad endured extreme discomfort after a washroom leak flooded parts of the aircraft mid-flight.
Viral videos circulating on social media show toilet water, waste, and tissue paper piling up in the aisles, creating a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the plane. The distressing situation left many passengers frustrated.
Following public outcry, PIA issued an apology, assuring passengers that preventive measures would be taken to avoid such incidents in the future.
