Police Issue Threat Alert for JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman

Law enforcement agencies have issued a security alert for Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, warning of a potential assassination attempt by militants.

According to an advisory issued on Saturday, militants from Fitna-al-Khawarij (FaK) are allegedly planning to target the JUI-F leader due to his involvement in religious and political affairs. The alert further stated that target killers have been assigned to carry out the attack in secrecy, with the perpetrators unlikely to claim responsibility.

In light of the threat, the Dera police have urged Maulana Fazlur Rehman to keep his movements discreet and enhance his personal security. Authorities have also advised him to maintain a record of all visitors, even after stringent security checks.
