Dr. Zakir Naik Praises Pakistan’s Warm Welcome, Calls for Unity Among Muslims
Renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik expressed deep appreciation for the hospitality and warmth shown by the Pakistani people during his recent visit to the country. Concluding his official trip, Dr. Naik emphasized the importance of unity among Muslims and the need for cooperation between religious scholars and political leaders for Pakistan’s development.
Reflecting on his visit, Dr. Naik thanked the Pakistani government, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, who extended the invitation. He expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank Allah for making my visit to Pakistan a success. The reception was beyond expectations, and the government made exceptional arrangements.”
Dr. Naik also extended his appreciation to Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, the Punjab government, Chief Minister Punjab, Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, and Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori for their roles in welcoming him. “I was welcomed in Pakistan ten times more warmly than I imagined,” he said, noting that he has traveled to numerous countries over the years and met thousands of Pakistanis, but the reception in Pakistan left a lasting impression.
While Dr. Naik previously visited Pakistan in 1991, this was his first official visit. He shared that people and religious institutions throughout the country showed him exceptional love and respect, adding that the warmth he experienced in Pakistan was unparalleled.
In his address, Dr. Naik highlighted Pakistan’s unique status as the only country founded in the name of Islam and emphasized the importance of collaboration between scholars and politicians. He called on Muslim communities to set aside differences and work together under the principles of the Quran and Sunnah.
“The Muslim community is facing various challenges,” Dr. Naik remarked. “Collective efforts are essential to promote peace, unity, and interfaith harmony.” He further commended Pakistan’s dedication to religious harmony and its efforts to uphold peace on a global scale.
Dr. Zakir Naik, whose life’s work has been devoted to sharing Islam’s true message, reiterated that “Islam is a religion of peace, love, and brotherhood.” He stressed the importance of unity, compassion, and shared values to strengthen the global Muslim community.
