Security Forces Eliminate Eight Terrorists in North Waziristan Operation
At least eight terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in the Razmak area of North Waziristan, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
The operation, launched on the night between September 25 and 26, was based on reports of the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, a heavy exchange of fire took place between the security forces and the militants, referred to as “Khawarij” by the ISPR.
“Eight Khawarij were sent to hell during the intense firefight,” the military’s media wing reported.
Security forces also recovered a cache of weapons and ammunition from the militants, who had been involved in attacks on security personnel and the targeted killing of civilians.
The statement further noted that a sanitization operation is ongoing to clear the area of any remaining militants, underscoring the security forces’ commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.
