Pak Army Foils Infiltration Attempt at Pak-Afghan Border, Sepoy Embraces Martyrdom
A Pakistan Army soldier was martyred while thwarting an infiltration attempt at the Pak-Afghan border, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), reported on Saturday. During the operation, four terrorists were eliminated.
According to the ISPR, security forces detected the movement of a group of militants attempting to cross the border in the Rajgal area of District Khyber. The forces responded promptly, engaging the infiltrators in an intense exchange of fire and successfully neutralizing the threat.
In the confrontation, Sepoy Amir Sohail Afridi, 22, fought valiantly but tragically lost his life, embracing martyrdom in the line of duty.
The ISPR reiterated Pakistan’s call for effective border management by the interim Afghan government, urging it to prevent the use of its territory by militants for acts of terrorism against Pakistan.
“Pakistan has consistently emphasized the importance of border security and expects the interim Afghan government to fulfill its obligations,” the statement said.
The military reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the country’s borders and eradicating terrorism, emphasizing that such sacrifices strengthen the resolve to protect national sovereignty.
The nation mourns the loss of its brave soldier while honoring his courage and dedication.
