52 Pakistanis Deported from Seven Countries, Including Saudi Arabia, US, and Sweden
Karachi – A total of 52 Pakistanis were deported from seven different countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Sweden, and arrived at Jinnah International Airport. Reasons for deportation ranged from overstaying visas to alleged illegal activities.
Upon arrival, three deportees from Saudi Arabia and the US were arrested at Karachi Airport, while others were allowed to return home.
Deportation Breakdown
Sources from the immigration department provided details on the reasons behind the deportations:
- Saudi Arabia:
- Two individuals were blacklisted and sent back.
- 11 deported for overstaying their visas.
- Nine on complaints from their sponsors.
- Seven due to loss of passports or visas.
- Two accused of drug smuggling and begging.
- 11 others deported for various other issues.
- United States and Sweden:
- One individual was deported for illegal stay in Sweden.
- Two deported from the US for illegal entry and loss of passport.
- Other Countries:
- One deported from Oman for visa expiration.
- Three deportees from the UAE for illegal residency or overstaying.
Additionally, three children born to Pakistani parents in Nepal, Saudi Arabia, and Malawi were sent to Pakistan using emergency travel documents.
Intercepted Passengers at Karachi Airport
At least 13 passengers attempting to travel abroad were intercepted by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Immigration Cell for incomplete documents or lack of proper arrangements.
- Umrah Pilgrims:
Five individuals, including Sundara Bibi Abdul Khaliq and Haq Nawaz, were offloaded for not having advance hotel bookings or sufficient funds for travel expenses. - Other Cases:
- Wasim Abbas was stopped from flying to Qatar due to incomplete work visa documentation.
- Three passengers headed to Oman were intercepted for lack of visa-related documents.
- A passenger traveling to Azerbaijan was offloaded for not having an advance hotel booking or adequate funds.
- Muhammad Anis, traveling to Italy, and Noman Maqsood, heading to Benin on a resident visa, were stopped for missing required documents and protections.
- Dil Nawaz, traveling to Tanzania on a business visa, was intercepted for lack of supporting documents.
- Nowroz Rind was barred from traveling to the UAE.
The FIA continues its efforts to ensure compliance with travel regulations and prevent illegal immigration activities.
