Security Forces Neutralize Three Terrorists, Arrest Two in Major Counter-Terrorism Operation in Musakhel
In a significant nighttime operation, Pakistani security forces eliminated three terrorists and captured two others in Musakhel, preventing a planned assault on key installations. The joint operation, led by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) alongside the Frontier Corps (FC) and local police, involved an intense exchange of gunfire, according to a CTD spokesperson.
During the operation, security forces uncovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition from both the deceased and detained suspects. The two arrested terrorists are now in custody, with a case filed against them as authorities launch a full investigation into their activities and affiliations.
This recent operation follows another successful raid in Mastung, where security forces apprehended an alleged terrorist in the Spalanji Bazaar area. Sources close to the investigation report that the arrested individual had been involved in the murder of two individuals on October 25–26, leading to an extensive search operation. Weapons, ammunition, and binoculars were seized from the suspect during the arrest.
These back-to-back counter-terrorism efforts highlight the increased vigilance and coordination among Pakistan’s security forces as they work to dismantle networks that pose a threat to national security.
