PTI Leader Latif Khosa Hints at Imran Khan’s Possible Release by November

Senior lawyer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sardar Latif Khosa has claimed that PTI founder Imran Khan could be released from jail as early as November, pointing to potential relief from the judiciary rather than any political deal.

In an interview on ARY News’ program Bakhabar Savera, Khosa dismissed speculation around a deal, stressing that the judiciary’s decision alone could lead to Khan’s release. He further commented on the potential impact of the U.S. presidential elections on Pakistan’s political dynamics, suggesting that if Donald Trump wins, it could favor the PTI founder.

Khosa alleged that U.S. diplomat Donald Lu was involved in a conspiracy to remove Imran Khan from office, a claim that has circulated among PTI supporters. Criticizing the current government, he argued that its actions are creating self-imposed challenges, weakening governance by making one of the state’s three pillars subservient to the administration.

Khosa clarified that his role in the Judicial Commission is to push for reforms from within the system, emphasizing that his involvement does not imply support for the controversial 26th amendment.
