CTD Kills Three Fitna al-Khawarij Terrorists in Sibi Operation
Sibi, Friday – In a successful operation near Dhadar, Sibi, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) killed three members of the extremist group Fitna al-Khawarij.
The operation, conducted near the Dou Pasi Bridge, led to the recovery of a large cache of arms from the terrorists’ possession. According to SSP Kachi, the group had been planning a major terrorist attack in the area.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat the Fitna al-Khawarij, who have been involved in multiple recent attacks. On September 7, security forces thwarted an attack on the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Mohmand district, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The attack, launched by four suicide bombers linked to the extremist group, was repelled before any damage could be inflicted.
In another significant development, CTD and police forces jointly conducted a targeted operation in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing a key local commander of the Fitna al-Khawarij, identified as Inam alias Sarh Lumba. The operation followed intelligence reports on the presence of terrorists in the area. During the raid, Inam was killed in an exchange of fire, and security forces have since launched a search operation to capture any militants who may have fled the scene.
The recent operations highlight the intensified crackdown on the Fitna al-Khawarij, with security forces continuing to pursue militants across the region.
