Death Toll in Karachi Blast Rises to Three, Including Two Chinese Citizens

The death toll from a blast near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport has risen to three, including two Chinese nationals, according to rescue officials. The Chinese Embassy confirmed that two of its citizens were killed, and ten others were injured in the incident.

Rescue officials have transferred the bodies of the two Chinese victims to the Edhi Centre morgue. Security forces have cordoned off the area, restricting public access as investigation teams plan to revisit the site in daylight to gather further evidence. CCTV footage from the surrounding area will also be reviewed as part of the investigation.

Sindh Home Minister, Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar, earlier confirmed that several vehicles were destroyed in the explosion, which occurred as a convoy of foreign nationals passed through the area. Among the injured are four police officers, a Rangers official, and 7 to 8 civilians.

The minister added that no prior security alert had been issued regarding the attack and that more information would be available as the investigation progresses.
