Six Soldiers, Including Lieutenant Colonel, Martyred in North Waziristan Operation
In a tragic incident, six Pakistani soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel, were martyred in an intense gun battle with terrorists in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday.
The clash, which occurred during the night of October 4 and 5, resulted in the elimination of six terrorists identified as “Khwarij” by the military’s media wing.
Leading the operation, Lt. Col. Muhammad Ali Shaukat, 43, from Faisalabad, was among the martyrs. He leaves behind his wife and three sons. The ISPR praised the fallen soldiers, highlighting their courage and dedication to the nation. Lt. Col. Shaukat and his team engaged in a fierce exchange of fire, during which they embraced martyrdom.
The other martyred soldiers were Lance Naik Muhammad Ullah, who had served the nation for 13 years, and Akhtar Zaman, a 10-year veteran of the military. Their bravery was lauded by the ISPR, which emphasized the military’s resolve to continue fighting terrorism.
“Security forces are determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism. The sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our determination,” the ISPR statement affirmed.
