15-Year-Old Boy Arrested in Quetta for Brutal Murder of 7-Year-Old, Inspired by Crime Series
Quetta – In a harrowing case, Quetta police have arrested a 15-year-old boy, Mushtaq Hussain, for the brutal murder of 7-year-old Arman Ali in Hazara Town on September 20. The arrest, as reported by ARY News, came after the boy confessed to the killing, revealing he was inspired by crime series and violent video games he frequently watched on social media.
During a joint press conference, SSP Serious Crime Investigation Wing Captain (Retd) Zohaib Mohsin and SSP Operations Muhammad Baloch explained that the teenager had no personal animosity towards the victim. Mushtaq lured the young boy, who was flying a kite, to an isolated area where he carried out the murder using a knife and hammer, which he had hidden in his school bag.
SSP Mohsin further revealed that after the murder, Mushtaq attempted to cover up the crime by burning the boy’s body with petrol. The police recovered the murder weapons from the suspect’s possession.
Investigations have also uncovered alarming details about Mushtaq’s past. He had previously strangled a pet dog, demonstrating early signs of violent behavior. Authorities praised the swift action by law enforcement, which they believe has prevented the teen from evolving into a serial killer.
In a tragic twist, it was revealed that Mushtaq had been raped a year earlier at his workplace in Quetta. His family, however, did not take any action following the assault, which may have contributed to his psychological distress and subsequent violent actions.
