Punjab Govt to Suspend Mobile and Internet Services During MDCAT Exam on September 22

The Punjab government has announced that mobile and internet services will be suspended across the province on September 22 during the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT). This measure is aimed at preventing cheating during the exam.

The suspension will apply within a 500-meter radius of the exam centers in 12 districts, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, and D.G. Khan. A total of 82,500 candidates are expected to sit for the MDCAT at various centers across Punjab.

In preparation for the exam, the government has also imposed Section 144 in these 12 cities to ensure a secure environment. Under this order, only candidates and authorized supervisory staff will be allowed inside the exam centers. Movement of unrelated individuals will be restricted within 100 yards of the centers, and protests or demonstrations near the exam venues are strictly prohibited.

These security measures aim to prevent any external assistance to candidates and ensure a smooth and fair examination process for all.
