Punjab Govt Launches Scholarship Scheme for Deserving Students
In a bid to support talented and deserving students, the Punjab government has introduced the Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme.
The initiative was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Punjab Higher Education Commission and several private universities.
This year alone, the government will provide scholarships worth Rs 7 billion under the scheme. Set to be completed over seven years, the program has a total budget of Rs 131 billion, which will increase by 10% annually to expand its reach.
By the end of the program, approximately 30,000 students from Punjab will have benefited from financial aid, enabling them to pursue higher education and achieve their academic aspirations.
