Karachi Court Grants Bail to Natasha Danish in Karsaz Accident Case Following Settlement
A sessions court in Karachi granted bail to Natasha Danish, the prime suspect in the Karsaz traffic accident case, after an out-of-court settlement was reached with the victims’ family. Danish was arrested for allegedly driving recklessly and causing a fatal accident on August 19 that claimed the lives of a man and his daughter.
On Friday, the court approved her bail, set at Rs100,000, after the family of the victims submitted a no-objection certificate (NOC) indicating they had forgiven her. The judge also granted bail to Danish Iqbal, the husband of the main accused.
A copy of the affidavit, which circulated on social media, states, “We have reached a settlement and have forgiven the accused. We forgive her in the name of Allah, who is the Most Merciful and Compassionate.” The family clarified that the accident was not intentional and emphasized that the affidavit was given without any external pressure.
The legal heirs confirmed they had no objections to the suspects’ release from prison and reaffirmed the accuracy of their statements in the affidavit.
