PPP MPA Syed Amir Ali Shah Falls Victim to Online Fraud
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Syed Amir Ali Shah from PP-250 Bahawalpur recently became a victim of online fraud. The MPA received a fraudulent call in which he was falsely informed about the approval of development schemes and was asked to deposit funds immediately.
Believing the call to be legitimate, MPA Amir Shah transferred Rs600,000 online as instructed by the caller. The scam was quickly discovered, and a case has been registered at the Uch Sharif police station.
This incident underscores the growing threat of online scams, which are increasingly targeting individuals, including public officials, using sophisticated methods. Authorities are actively investigating the case to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible, aiming to prevent such incidents in the future.
