Pentagon Condemns Balochistan Terror Attacks, Expresses Solidarity with Pakistan
Washington, D.C. – The United States Department of Defense has “strongly condemned” the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan, which claimed the lives of dozens of civilians and security personnel. Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh, addressing a press briefing on Thursday, expressed deep condolences for the victims but noted that there is currently no U.S. involvement or assistance to Pakistan in dealing with the aftermath.
When asked about potential U.S. support to Islamabad in combating terrorist groups, Singh stated, “I am not aware of any U.S. involvement or assistance to Pakistan at this time. But if that changes, I can certainly let you know.” She reiterated the Pentagon’s condemnation of the attacks and emphasized that Washington remains open to collaborating with nations committed to eradicating terrorism.
The statement follows a series of violent incidents in Balochistan, where over 50 individuals were martyred. In response, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Quetta, pledging to eliminate terrorism from the province and honoring the sacrifices of the martyrs.
Singh also highlighted the ongoing cooperation between the U.S. and Pakistani governments, affirming that the Pentagon would provide updates on any future decisions regarding American support to Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.
