Ex-IHC Judge Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui Makes Shocking Allegations Against Former ISI Chief Faiz Hameed

ISLAMABAD – Former Islamabad High Court (IHC) senior puisne judge, Justice (retd) Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, has made startling allegations against the former Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed.

In an interview with a private news channel, Justice (retd) Siddiqui claimed that the then ISI chief visited him before the verdict in the case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif, asserting that Sharif would be convicted even before the judgment was announced.

According to Siddiqui, the former ISI chief also inquired how he would rule if Maryam Nawaz’s case appeared before his bench. Siddiqui reportedly responded, “I cannot ruin my hereafter,” to which Faiz Hameed allegedly replied, “Our two years of hard work will go to waste.”

Siddiqui further alleged that Faiz Hameed returned a few days later, mentioning that he had been in Karachi “tightening screws” on the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). Quoting Hameed, Siddiqui claimed, “My boss, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, said that I am unable to control one judge.”

The former judge also revealed that Faiz Hameed offered him the position of Acting Chief Justice, an offer he said he refused.

These allegations, if true, could have significant implications, raising questions about judicial independence and the influence of military intelligence in Pakistan’s legal system.
