Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi Sent to Jail on 15-Day Remand in Toshakhana Case
RAWALPINDI – An accountability court on Monday ordered the 15-day judicial remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in connection with the Toshakhana reference recently filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The couple was presented before the court by the NAB team following the expiration of their previous seven-day remand. The hearing was conducted at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi by Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana.
The judge has directed that both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi be produced before the court again on September 2.
The arrest of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi on July 13 followed their acquittal in the Iddat case, leading to their detention under a fresh NAB reference related to the Toshakhana case. The case involves allegations of misappropriation of gifts received by government officials.
