Three Retired Pakistan Army Officers Detained Over Military Discipline Violations
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced the detention of three retired officers of the Pakistan Army for violating military discipline. The move is linked to ongoing court-martial proceedings involving former ISI Chief, Lt. General (retired) Faiz Hameed.
According to the ISPR, the detained officers are under investigation in connection with efforts to destabilize the country, allegedly at the behest of and in collusion with political interests.
The military’s public relations wing confirmed that further investigations are underway regarding these retired officers and their associates.
Earlier, on August 13, Lt. General (retired) Faiz Hameed himself was taken into military custody as part of these proceedings.
