PTI Activist Neeli Pari Arrested for Assaulting Comedian Tahir Anjum Outside Punjab Assembly

Lahore Police arrested PTI activist Aneela Riaz Jutt, known as Neeli Pari, on Thursday for assaulting stage artist Tahir Anjum in front of the Punjab Assembly. The arrest followed a complaint by Anjum, who accused Neeli Pari of physical assault.

The incident occurred during a ‘symbolic hunger strike’ by PTI members protesting the incarceration of party founder Imran Khan. As the protest unfolded outside the Punjab Assembly, Neeli Pari allegedly stopped a vehicle carrying PML-N cultural wing leader Tahir Anjum and began to physically assault him.

Video footage shows Neeli Pari slapping Anjum, who was then rescued by his party workers. The police swiftly registered a case against her, leading to her arrest.
