Pakistan Approves Rs5.72/unit Increase in Power Tariff

The federal cabinet has sanctioned an increase of Rs5.72 per unit in the basic power tariff through a circulation summary.

This hike will be submitted to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for uniform tariff implementation across the country.

Following the cabinet’s approval, the Power Division will file an application with NEPRA to formalize the tariff adjustment.

This decision aims to address financial sustainability and ensure consistent power supply across Pakistan.
